Have you ever wondered why sometimes you feel so dejected when someone scolds you? Have you ever wondered why you felt so down when you didn’t get chosen by your teacher, or boss when you knew you did your best? That’s because of your Self Esteem.
What is Self Esteem, you may ask. Self Esteem is your self worth, your confidence, your own self satisfaction. Your Self Esteem is very fragile, it can be hurt anytime in your course of life. Having a low self esteem can be a very hurtful and painful experience. When you have a low self esteem, you blame yourself for everything, yes everything, even when it is not your fault at all, you have very little confidence in yourself, you have the mindset that everything would go wrong for you, and the sadest part of all is that you underestimate yourself, you don’t believe in yourself and your abilities.
This is very sad, your hiding from your own fears and this may eventually lead to depression. Having low self esteem not only makes you a very quiet, sad person, it affects people around you, your loved ones, your friends and the people who know you. They get hurt everytime they see you suffering to find your self. Thus it is necessary to build your self esteem to live a happier life and to feel good about yourself.
