Self Esteem is your confidence, and when you have low self esteem, you tend to have a lot of problems, which can be avoided. Low self esteem can lead to severe cases such as depression. How to improve your self esteem? Basically, how you feel about yourself and how others judge you affects your self esteem. Try not to base on others judgments too seriously, their judgments maybe biased and fickle. You have control over yourself, try to take control over the situation you are in. You can change anything. You can change yourself, you can change your future and your happiness.

Firstly, stop thinking about negative thoughts and stop looking at yourself in a negative light. Each person is unique and everyone is not perfect, do not fault yourself when it is not your fault and if it is just a minor mistake. Everyone is good at something, find out what you are good at and try to excel in it. Try to enrol in activities that brings out the strength in you and not your weakness. You can improve on that strength and improve your self esteem.

Secondly, do not wish for perfection and put yourself out. Instead, try to accomplish with what gift you have. Everyone wants to be perfect, but in reality nobody is, thus there is no such thing as perfection. Instead of trying to find perfection and lose your self esteem, you can use your gift and improve your self esteem and your confidence.

Thirdly, be confident, try to reflect on your weaknesses and try to change them, try to overcome your flaws. Make mistakes! Everyone makes mistakes and accept the fact that no one is perfect and so are you. Make mistakes and learn from them, try to overcome them. Be confident in what you are doing, if you make a mistake, learn from it the right way, think of it as an experience.

Lastly, have fun. Having fun boosts your self esteem, it improves your relationship with others, so why not have more fun with people whom you love, your family, friends and relatives!
